How much is too much? Apparently when it comes to making a blockbuster, the directors are willing to go an extra mile. Disney has given us plenty of super hits and though it is considered to be a production which makes movies and shows for kids, it has never failed to amaze the adult audience as well. We have all grown up listening to various stories about fairies and villains, about pirates who robbed the ships and people off of their riches. Disney gave us a pirate who became the hero of everyone’s heart and we don’t know about the treasure but yes Jack Sparrow surely robbed our hearts.

Pirates of the Caribbean is a superhit franchise with every movie being a superhit and you can’t possibly complain about anything. It is a fantasy movie series with 5 movies in the bucket. The total budget invested in making the 5 movies is around 1.3-1.4 billion dollars which might seem like a hefty sum but when compared to the amount these movies have fetched in the box office, this seems just right. All the 5 movies have earned about 4.5 billion dollars at the box office and no doubt this series is one of the most expensive movies ever made in the history of cinema. Pirates of the Caribbean is the first franchise which has produced two or more movies which have earned over 1 billion dollars.
The movie revolves around the character, Jack Sparrow who might act idiotic all the time but is one of the most renowned pirates. The role is played by one and only Johnny Depp who has won millions of hearts and is surely among the top paid actors around the globe. Jack Sparrow might be a thief but he is a man with a pure heart and would never play with dishonesty. All the 5 movies are about his adventures and how they carry out different missions to get their hands on the most valuable things.

Every movie is better than the last one but this one is special as this movie has a gross budget of $410.6 million and a net budget of $378.5 million. Shocking isn’t it? Well the movie earned about 1.046 billion dollars at the box office, definitely Rob Marshall, the director of this movie invested his hard work and money into the movie and he was given a fair profit in return.
With a great name comes great responsibility and hence our captain has a number of enemies. In this movie he is reunited with a mysterious woman from the past, his enemies and many more pirates. Jack Sparrow is all ready to sail towards the fountain of youth, but finding it won’t be an easy job and this movie will take you to the adventure like none before. Released in 2011, this movie held the crown for the most expensive movie. Which was later broken.
