India is among the countries which produce the most number of movies yearly and yet somehow only a few mainstream movies get nominated. The Golden Globe Award was started in 1944, Hollywood Foreign Press Association distributed this award to appreciate excellence and a committee of 105 members is currently responsible for deciding the winning movie or show. The first ceremony for celebrating film achievements was held in 1944 at the 20th Century Fox studios.
The first person to be awarded was director and producer Cecil B. DeMille and hence the official name of the Golden Globe Award became the Cecil B. DeMille Award. The revenue collected from these award shows and ceremonies has enabled the HFPA to make donations for entertainment-related charities and scholarships for budding artists who want to make a future in the entertainment industry.

RRR is a Telugu movie that was later dubbed into Hindi. The movie is directed by S. S. Rajamouli and the music in the movie is given by M. M. Keeravani. Released in 2022 this was a super hit and was made based on real-life events. The movie talked about the problems faced by tribals and commoners under British rule. The screenplay, the action, the casting, the storytelling, the music, everything about this movie screams perfection. RRR won the Golden Globe under the category of best song for Naatu Naatu. The movie was nominated under two categories, for the best song, and the best non-English language film but missed the latter one.
The movie has grabbed several awards internationally including Best Director for Rajamouli at New York Film Critics Circle. The movie is expected to be nominated for the Oscars as well.
